Local Operating Unit Manager
The opportunity
Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business unit has delivered more than 4,000 projects over the last 15 years. Our Grid Integration portfolio spans a wide range of transmission and substation applications, which facilitate reliable and efficient system integration of the future digital electric network with minimum environmental impact.
We incorporate the integrated systems, solutions and services of our business' DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections, and Semiconductors. We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system, such as renewables, transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.
How you'll make an impact
- You will be responsible for driving profitable growth of the structure, by implementing and providing input to a global strategy.
- You will act as the main managerial focal point within the local operating unit including but not limited to the operations, and site development.
- You will be overseeing all tendering activities within the local structure, certifying that the area of responsibility is properly organized, skilled and staffed as per its needs.
- You will be delivering operational/project targets to ensure customer satisfaction as well as key drivers of productivity, bringing performance and cost optimization to the site where possible.
- You will ensuring the achievement of established targets through sufficient regular oversight and creating a definition of actions for improvement where applicable.
- You will guide, motivates and develops all subordinates (direct and indirect) within given HR policies.
- You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
- You hold a Qualification in Engineering - Power or Related field plus to Master of Business Administration/Commerce has prefer with proven leadership skills.
- Required with Multi - experience in functional of Engineering, Sales, Project & Site Management in Substation - system integration Segment and with managerial experience in multi-disciplined teams and engineering based profit center.
- Good knowledge of utility and energy industries with exposure to renewable energy industry and has the ability to match a technical offering with a market of Grid Integration opportunity.
- Strong, well developed interpersonal, influencing, coaching and leadership skills, proven delivery of change leadership and with strong external oriented mindset.
- Excellent project management skills, including strategy development and implementation across a national scope with strong business acumen.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization to achieve results, solutions oriented approach with analytic thinking also being resilient and courageous.
- Proficiency both in Thai and English communication are mandatory.

Working hours: 900-1730 (1hr break). Flex time is applicable.
