Junior Project Controller

The opportunity

We are looking for a Junior Project Controller to join our Power Consulting department in Gothenburg. This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their finance career who wants to grow, take responsibility, and develop strong financial project management skills in an international environment.

You will work in a mixed role where the primary focus will be supporting the Swedish team with daily administrative tasks such as order handling and invoicing, as well as other project controlling activities. Similar support is also needed, to some extent, for other Power Consulting units, which provides an opportunity to work cross-border. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with project managers, gain insight into the full project lifecycle, and contribute to financially sound project execution.

How you'll make an impact

• Provide financial support across the full project lifecycle: tendering, project execution, close-out, and warranty.
• Support tender and project managers with financial input including cost calculations, risk reviews, and forecasts.
• Ensure correctness of monthly project balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reporting.
• Responsible for monthly invoicing, customer and supplier creation and purchase requisitions
• Support monthly project reviews and preparation of project cost reports.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within project controlling processes and tools.
• Support controllers with ad hoc financial tasks.

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or another finance related field.
• Strong communication skills in English and Swedish.
• Basic understanding of financial processes and reporting.
• Beneficial: previous experience in finance, administration, or project environments.
• Comfortable using Excel and interested in working with data.
• Proactive, structured and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
