Internship - Machine Learning / Data Science

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Research Center Kraków is offering an internship position in the field of Machine Learning and Data Science. As part of the research team, you will apply data science methods in the large-scale industrial context and contribute to machine learning algorithms in the power systems domain. You will have the chance to collaborate with domain experts, participate in research projects and potentially publish your results in scientific journals or conferences.

How you'll make an impact

• Support the team in the analysis of large data sets, such as time-series data, graph-based data or design specifications
• Use python to parse data, identify patterns with data science tools and process them with machine learning methods
• Develop pipelines to deploy your solutions in the simulation, optimization and design verification process

Your background

• You are a university student in the field of science, technology, engineering or mathematics, graduating in 2027 or later
• You are familiar with linear algebra and matrix calculus
• You are comfortable with Python, including numerical calculation libraries
• You have experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn or other ML framework
• You are interested in and actively follow the technology developments in the machine learning and artificial intelligence field
• You have a scientific and problem-solving mindset
• You know how to express your ideas and present results of your study to a broad audience
• You are fluent in English
