HVDC SCM Service Manager

The Opportunity

We are looking for a commercially minded and technically driven HVDC SCM service manager to join our HVDC Supply Chain team - a key role to make an efficient execution of Service SCM related business where you will lead and coordinate the Service SCM related business. As the responsible SCM representative in the Service management team, you will take responsibility for operational and strategical decisions and ensure that Service projects are delivered in an efficient and optimal manner.

In this role, you will support Service with SCM related business and projects. You'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders - including engineering, supply chain, quality, suppliers, and clients - to resolve obstacles and maintain momentum. You will also monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure lessons learned are fed back into future Service business.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Lead and coordinate Supply Chain execution across the Service business portfolio, ensuring alignment with Service and SCM goals and timelines.
  • Act as SCM representative in the Service Management Team, contributing to operational decisions and strategic initiatives considering SCM perspectives.
  • Prioritize and manage cross-Service demands, serving as first escalation point for SCM-related issues and deviations.
  • Monitor and report on supply chain performance using KPIs including cost, timing, staffing, quality, HSE, and progress.
  • Identify and resolve Supply Chain obstacles, implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard delivery and budget on the Service business
  • Drive sourcing strategies tailored to Service needs, ensuring supplier selection supports technical and commercial objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, ISO standards, and HSE requirements across Service related SCM business.

Your background:

  • Proven experience in project within large-scale infrastructure, energy, or industrial sectors - preferably HVDC or similar high-voltage technologies.
  • Academic background in engineering, business, or project management, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance technical complexity, commercial priorities, and stakeholder needs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management across internal teams, suppliers, and clients - with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Solid understanding of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Experience in risk management and compliance, including HSE, quality assurance, and contractual governance.
  • Leadership in high-pressure environments, with a track record of driving task forces.
  • Familiarity with project tools and systems
  • Fluency in English
