HUB TRANSPORTATION & LOGISTICS MANAGER

The Opportunity

The Transportation & Logistics Manager is responsible to supervise the transportation and logistics planning and execution. His/her focus is set in the heavy lift operations from planning to final invoice payment in order to mitigate risks, leverage buying power, and bundle shipments. In collaboration with COE-I, he/she is striving to continuously develop and optimize the T&L organization, processes, and operations. In addition, a coordination activity on general cargo is expected. He/she will deliver on the KPI's and drive the continuous improvement of processes, tools and services, managing the demand according to the agreed procedures and processes. The T&L HUB Manager is to be the liaison between PG TT&L Management and the PGTR organization in the HUB. Take the ultimate accountability and approval authority, and review and assure the quality of the team's operation in accordance with PG, BU, and HUB regulations and procedures.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Ensure safe and compliant heavy-lift transport operations, overseeing factories, approved suppliers, and adherence to legal and internal processes.
  • Lead strategic cost-saving and risk-mitigation initiatives, managing cross-HUB projects and supporting local Heavy Lift Transport Managers.
  • Manage demand and supplier capacity, acting as the first escalation point for supplier issues and ensuring performance in quality, lead time, availability, and cost.
  • Drive HUB-level Strategic Sourcing activities, consolidating volumes to increase purchasing leverage and supporting local units with daily sourcing needs.
  • Oversee financial control of heavy-lift projects, ensuring clear budgets, cost-slippage analysis, yearly spend forecasting, and adherence to supplier agreements.
  • Implement organizational and process changes, ensuring alignment with T&L and SCM strategies, applying standard processes, and coaching logistics teams.
  • Lead and develop teams, ensuring proper staffing, capability development, motivation, and succession planning for direct and indirect reports.
  • Support international logistics processes, including tender management, and import/export activities for Sales and Project teams
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree completed in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields.
  • Advanced English (written and spoken) for daily communication with global teams.
  • Proven experience in Heavy Lift transportation, logistics operations, or similar large-scale industrial transport environments.
  • Solid background in Strategic Sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
  • Availability to travel when required to support operations or supplier engagements.
