HSE Manager - Grid Automation Spain

The opportunity
For our business unit Grid Automation we are looking for an HSE Manager based in Madrid.
How you'll make an impact
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and internal policies
- Acting as a coach and advisor toward the supervision team concerning HSE management.
- Conduct comprehensive HSE risk assessments and implement effective control measures
- Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and define corrective and preventive actions
- Implement and support factory-wide HSE programs, audits, inspections, and improvement initiatives
- Monitor key HSE KPIs and prepare clear reports to drive transparency and decision-making
- Deliver HSE trainings and awareness programs that foster a strong safety culture
- Maintain and continuously improve emergency response plans, including drills and preparedness activities
- Collaborate closely with teams to integrate HSE considerations into daily operations and long-term planning
- Drive the integration and continuous improvement of environmental practices by leading risk assessments, implementing corrective actions, and monitoring/reporting environmental performance against HSE objectives.
Your background
- Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE roles within an industrial or energy environment
- Solid understanding of HSE regulations, standards, risk assessments, and incident analysis
- Strong communication skills and the ability to conduct engaging trainings
- Experience working with HSE performance metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement tools
- Ability to influence and drive behavioral change across diverse teams
- Proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Collaborative working style and ability to support cross-functional factory operations
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
