HR Business Partner (BU Service)

The opportunity:

The HR Business Partner acts as a strategic partner to Service Business in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia supporting all HR business partnering activities in the local service units. In addition, the role leads and drives HR initiatives, transformation projects, and workforce programs across Service Business Units covering four Local Service Units (LSUs), contributing to the achievement of business objectives within a matrix organization. The role holder will work closely with LSU management team, local country HRs and HR Centers of Expertise (CoEs) to deliver people strategies, organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee engagement, and change management initiatives while ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies.

How you'll make an impact:

HR Business Partnering

  • Serve as the primary HR partner for business leaders and managers in 4 local service units (LSUs) - Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia
  • Support the full spectrum of HRBP activities, including workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, organizational design, and change management.
  • Partner with leaders to align people strategies with business priorities and growth objectives.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on leadership effectiveness, employee development, and people matters.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster an inclusive, high-performance culture.
  • Support annual HR processes, including performance reviews, talent reviews, compensation cycles, and succession planning.
  • Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations to business leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor legislation and company policies, by partnering with country HRs

  • Lead and coordinate HR projects and initiatives across Service Business Units covering four Local Service Units in alignment with Xmatrix
  • Partner with LSU leadership teams to identify organizational needs and implement solutions.
  • Drive cross-functional and matrix HR initiatives related to workforce planning, talent development, capability building, diversity and inclusion, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Manage project timelines, stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, and communication plans.
  • Facilitate best-practice sharing and HR process standardization across Service LSUs.
  • Support business transformation, restructuring, and change management initiatives as required.
  • Collaborate with global, regional, and local HR teams to ensure successful implementation of strategic HR programs.

Talent & Leadership Development

  • Facilitate talent review and succession planning discussions.
  • Identify critical talent gaps and develop action plans with leaders.
  • Support leadership development and talent acceleration initiatives.
  • Champion learning and capability-building programs to strengthen organizational effectiveness at all LSU level

Employee Engagement & Compliance

  • Manage employee relations matters with appropriate guidance from HR leadership and legal teams.
  • Ensure adherence to local employment laws and corporate governance requirements in alignment with country HRs
  • Support investigations, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution when necessary.
  • Continuous employee engagement initiatives at all LSU levels
  • Partnering with L&D teams and arranging for training programs

HR Operations & Collaboration

  • Work closely with HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, and Global Mobility teams to deliver integrated HR solutions.
  • Ensure high-quality execution of HR processes and employee experience initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR practices and organizational effectiveness.

Your background:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or HR certification is an advantage.

Experience

  • 10 - 12 years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partnering responsibilities.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior business leaders in a matrix organization.
  • Experience managing regional, multi - country cross-functional HR projects.
  • Experience supporting service, engineering, industrial, or technology-based businesses is preferred.
