Health, Safety and Environmental Specialist - West Kelowna

How You'll Make an Impact
- Promote a strong health, safety, and sustainability culture across all project sites.
- Maintain and improve Health and Safety Management Systems aligned with ISO45001 standards.
- Identify and address HSE issues, implementing corrective measures to ensure compliance.
- Conduct and support incident investigations and follow-up actions.
- Manage internal safety audits and workplace inspection programs.
- Prepare and share safety performance reports and KPIs.
- Coordinate environmental compliance activities and maintain ISO14001 standards.
- Oversee emergency preparedness and response training programs.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
- College diploma or bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in occupational environmental health and safety.
- Practical knowledge of ISO45001, ISO14001, and COR certification processes.
- Strong understanding of provincial and federal HSE laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other digital tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 50% of work time).
