The opportunity:
The Global MTO Archetype Controlling Lead is accountable for defining, governing, and continuously improving the Make-to-Order (MTO) controlling archetype across the enterprise.
How you'll make an impact:
- The role ensures standardized, high-quality operational and cost controlling across global manufacturing plants, project-driven operations, and controlling hubs, in alignment with the CP&O global operating model.
- This position acts as the global design authority and capability owner for MTO controlling, driving transparency, consistency, digital enablement, and performance steering in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Lead and develop the global MTO controlling capability team within CP&O, ensuring delivery of standardized, high-quality controlling service.
- Define, implement, and maintain the global MTO controlling process framework in alignment with:
- Act as the global archetype owner for MTO controlling across the enterprise.
- Represent the MTO controlling domain in cross-functional/ Hub governance bodies and enterprise-wide process design forums.
- Ensure strong alignment with Regional and Country Controllers to secure consistent and accurate financial execution.
- Monitor financial performance of MTO operations and advise leadership on corrective actions and strategic priorities
- Drive global harmonization and standardization of MTO-relevant controlling processes in close
- Lead the definition and implementation of global business requirements for process and system changes
- Ensure end-to-end value flow integrity, data consistency, and transparency across functions and geographies.
- Drive digital enablement and automation, leveraging SAP S/4HANA and enterprise analytics platforms.
- Identify and address global process inefficiencies, gaps, and misalignments.
- Manage process change requests in line with global controlling ERP template governance.
- Facilitate best-practice sharing across Regions, Countries, and Controlling Capability Centers.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders across Global Operations, Business Units, Regions, and Countries.
- Ensure controlling services meet agreed service expectations, quality standards, and business needs.
- Drive a strong customer-centric mindset across controlling processes and service delivery.
- Support Internal Controls by defining, documenting, and ensuring compliant execution of controls within the stakeholder groups across Functions, Regions, and Countries in a highly matrixed organization.
- Balancing strategic archetype development with ongoing operational process demands.
- Driving change and standardization across varying maturity levels of MTO operations.
- Ensuring global consistency and compliance while allowing for necessary functional and geographical nuances.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
- Should have Master's Degree in Finance & Accounting, Controlling, or Business Administration.
- Must have 10+ years of experience in Finance & Controlling, including exposure to global and matrixed environments.
- Strong experience in process ownership, standardization, and global operating models.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, global teams and drive enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP FICO / S/4HANA preferred) and digital finance platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Proven experience driving harmonization, standardization, and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
