The opportunity:

The GCO Core Project Controlling leader is responsible for shaping and driving the strategic direction of project controlling across the organization. By leading a high-performing team, this role ensures the delivery of best-in-class project controlling services, fosters close collaboration with Customer - Business Unit Management, and supports the company's growth through excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a team of project controlling professionals who deliver services across multiple geographies and business units.
  • Set the strategic direction for project controlling, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and global standards.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with Customer - Business Unit Management to jointly develop, harmonize, and continuously improve project controlling processes, directly supporting the company's growth strategy.
  • Oversee the implementation and continuous optimization of controlling and planning processes, leveraging best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange and best practice sharing within and between Capability Centers.
  • Drive operational performance improvements and ensure the team meets service delivery expectations.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement (CI), leading the identification and execution of CI initiatives, including Lean Six Sigma (L6S) projects.
  • Ensure effective stakeholder engagement and manage operational risks, proactively removing barriers to team success.
  • Support people development through coaching, training, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with other Capability Owners and cross-functional leaders (Finance, IS, Supply Chain, HR) to ensure integrated and effective service delivery. Work closely with Customer - Business Unit Management to jointly develop, harmonize, and continuously improve project controlling processes, ensuring these processes directly support the company's growth strategy.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:

  • Should have master's in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (technical degree a plus)
  • Must have 10+ years in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or Project Controlling
  • Proven leadership and team-building experience. Strong strategic mindset and process orientation.
  • Expertise in project controlling, financial management, and analytics/
  • Experience in process improvement and transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to foster collaboration across teams.
  • Global/matrix environment experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
