Function Controller

The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Function Controller to join our team in Sevlievo, Bulgaria. This position combines support for the PGHV Technology Center Europe as main role and involvement in the Production Unit PGHV Sevlievo.

Hitachi Energy / PGHV / Technology Center offers an interesting international role in a highly motivated team across Europe. Through a practical onboarding program, you will gain the confidence to work independently, contribute to a global Technology Center organization, and stay closely connected to the local production environment in Sevlievo.

How you'll make an impact:

• Perform regular closing activities within the assigned area of responsibility;
• Support monthly and quarterly closing activities within the R&D environment in accordance with accounting and reporting guidelines;
• Coordinate the back charging cost in the Internal Group including the local factory;
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance within the assigned area of responsibility, primarily related to CAPEX;
• Support monthly forecasts for project leaders and factory controllers;
• Provide financial support to R&D project leaders across all relevant aspects;
• Monitor absorption rates and ensure the accuracy of hourly rates and time entries, for the Technology Centers and the local factory;
• Monitor cost development and analyze costs and structures combining Technology Centers and the local factory;
• Support the Technology Center Controller during the cost center budgeting process, including cost and hourly rate planning;
• Support the Technology Center Controller of PGHV Europe in delivering reliable financial data and forward-looking financial information to Technology Center Managers and R&D.Ensure compliance with corporate and local standards, regulations, and guidelines.

Your Background:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Management Engineering;
• 2 - 5 years of experience in Factory Controlling or Accounting;
• Advance in level spoken and written English;
• Strong working knowledge in SAP;
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with independent problem-solving capabilities. Effective communication and presentation skills;
