Factory Test Room Manager - Power Transformer

The opportunity
Oversee all activities in the Factory Test Rooms to ensure transformers and their components meet performance and safety standards. Lead a team of test engineers and technicians in planning, conducting, documenting, and analyzing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), while addressing issues related to test failures and non-conformities. Manage equipment maintenance, testing processes, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance overall Test Room performance through regular interaction with customers, technical experts, and manufacturing staff.
How you'll make an impact
- Ensure that all testing operations comply with applicable industry regulations (IEC, IEEE), company policies, BU test procedures, as well as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001 standards. Lead efforts to maintain compliance and stay updated with regulatory changes.
- Oversee adherence to company health and safety regulations in all testing activities. Champion workplace safety by developing and enforcing best practices while fostering a strong safety culture among team members. Collaborate closely with HSE teams to conduct regular safety assessments and enhance safety awareness across the organization. Follow BU HSE Test instruction 1LAA000050
- Lead collaboration with customers and project teams to define and clarify complex testing requirements, leveraging client insights to strategically plan and sequence testing activities. Ensure optimal alignment of resources for efficient and effective test setups.
- Manage and oversee comprehensive test procedures to ensure that all products meet specifications and relevant international testing standards, coordinating all testing activities from preparation to completion. Address operational challenges proactively to maintain smooth testing workflows.
- Ensure the overall management and optimal functionality of all testing equipment by directing regular inspections and coordinating necessary repairs and upgrades. Develop and implement comprehensive plans for equipment enhancements to improve testing capabilities. Follow BU list of approved testing equipment 1ZBA4511-001.
- Guide the collection, recording, and secure storage of test data, ensuring all processes comply with applicable standards. Analyze data to generate comprehensive reports that support management decision-making and drive quality improvements.
- Establish, measure, and oversee Test Room KPIs to drive process enhancements and ensure test accuracy and reliability. Deliver timely reporting of test results and operational metrics while maintaining comprehensive documentation for transparency and strategic decision-making
- Contribute to comprehensive failure analyses to identify root causes of product issues, employing systematic evaluation methods. Play a key role in collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective corrective actions that improve product reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by assessing testing processes and performance metrics to identify and implement enhancements. Foster a culture of innovation among team members to increase efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Implement the Quality Management System (QMS) by applying global quality instructions and adding elements that meet the specific needs of the Factory Test Room.
- Collect and organize all Test Room processes and requirements to create a comprehensive test portfolio that aligns with project specifications and industry standards.
- Lead, guide, and develop a diverse workforce, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. Implement performance management and development practices to motivate and retain employees. Drive the development of quality skills and competencies within the team to significantly enhance overall testing performance.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

- Candidate should holds a degree in Bachelor's / Master's in Engineering with relevant work experience.
