The opportunity
The Factory Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial health and operational performance of HITACHI ENERGY INDIA LIMITED's manufacturing facility. This role involves managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting to ensure optimal cost control, efficiency, and compliance within the factory operations.
How you'll make an impact
- Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the factory, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Monitor and analyze factory performance against budget, identifying variances and driving corrective actions to achieve financial targets.
- Develop and implement robust cost accounting systems, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including production costs, profitability analysis, and operational KPIs for factory management and corporate stakeholders.
- Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) requests, evaluations, and post-implementation reviews, ensuring financial viability and adherence to approval processes.
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, and engineering teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, IFRS/Indian GAAP, and statutory regulations.
- Oversee inventory management and valuation, conducting regular physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to factory management to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals within the factory finance department.
- Act as a key business partner to the Factory Manager, contributing to the overall strategic direction and success of the plant.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
- Having education background of B.com , M.com / MBA Added advantage CA /CMA/ Intermediate.
- Minimum of 7-12 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 3-5 years specifically in a manufacturing environment as a Factory Controller, Plant Controller, or similar capacity.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, variance analysis, and manufacturing KPIs.
- Proficiency in SAP FICO or other major ERP systems is essential.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present clear, concise financial reports to diverse audiences.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively partner with cross-functional teams.
- Results-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and integrity.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
