Electrical Design Engineer

The Opportunity

Electrical Engineering researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. An Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May require the following proficiency: Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

How you'll make an impact

• You will be part of a Global Engineering Center team, and your task is to contribute to the global design work with positive team atmosphere and networking Responsibilities.
• The success candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in Dry Type Transformer up to 10 MVA 33 kV Class design covering different countries.
• Influence specification at the tender and pre-tender stage, through conceptual discussions.
• Responsible to prepare electrical design (Quotation & order) meeting factory limitation, guideline, and checklist as per IEEE / IEC /IS standards as per project schedule.
• Responsible for Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing documents, Bill of materials etc. as per project schedule.
• Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.
• Participation in internal design concept reviews.
• Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

• B.E / B. Tech Electrical Engineering.
• 3-8 years' experience working in Electrical design for Distribution Dry Transformers Manufacturing Industry. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered.
• Understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics
• Should have good understanding of IS/ IEC /IEEE Standards & Canadian Standards.
• Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
• Experience on Microsoft office and tools.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
• Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
