Distribution Transformers (DT) Engineering Coordinator
The Opportunity
Plan, coordinate, execute, and control the engineering development of Distribution Transformers (DT) projects, fulfilling technical specifications, delivery times, standards, and requirements established by the Customers, in order to satisfy the technical requirements and contribute to the fulfillment of the quality and profitability objectives of the Company, and Customer satisfaction. Manage the DT Engineering Team with all related responsibilities. The foregoing, complying with quality standards (ISO 9001), environmental (ISO 14001), energy efficiency (ISO 50001), occupational health and safety (ISO NTC 45001), and BASC standards.
How will you make an impact
- Interpret and implement the Company's new technologies to align with Hitachi Group requirements, increase work efficiency and quality, and reduce engineering costs.
- Identify training needs and manage the training of DT Engineering personnel by continuously monitoring their functions and providing the necessary guidance to successfully complete processes, reduce time, eliminate rework, and increase orders executed.
- Guarantee the use and application of corporate software, design tools, and technical instructions that apply to the DT design area and the activities of the personnel under his/her responsibility, according to the latest updates, best practices, and company guidelines for OPQs reduction and quality improvement.
- Active participation in meetings, activities, processes/projects for continuous improvement and problem solving, where aspects of DT transformers design are involved, as well as activities of the company that require his/her support, follow-up, statistics, or which are related to the personnel under his responsibility.
- Develop administrative tasks related to personnel under his responsibility, including PDA, FCA performance evaluations, identification of training needs and management of required training, vacation scheduling, KPIs, reports, etc. Also, ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements for the design process.
- Advise Production staff and/or other areas that require it on solving problems and improving processes through the exchange of technical information to identify failures and work to improve them.
- Generate and coordinate process standardization strategies, control of resources, project execution planning, and take the necessary corrective actions in order to optimize them and achieve a reduction of times and costs to ensure On-time delivery and high quality of Engineering deliverables.
- Coordinate, implement, and execute new developments and projects in accordance with common technology GPG directives, through constant updating of technology, in order for the company to remain at competitive levels of prices, reduce costs of raw materials involved in the projects, reduce cycle times, and drive the company to higher technological levels.
- Ensure the Quality of deliverables through periodic review and supervision to achieve customer satisfaction, meet requirements, and reduce time and costs.
- Provide technical support to the areas of Tenders, Marketing and Sales, Supply, Production, Logistics, and other areas of the company as required, in order to contribute to the achievement of the business and the established goals.
- Define and ensure the necessary resources for executing DT Engineering tasks to deliver projects on time, with the highest quality, and to optimize performance.
- Manage and attend to tasks, meetings, projects, presentations, deployments, and support to other areas, as delegated by the Engineering Manager as necessary to meet business and company requirements. Additionally, fulfill the responsibilities required by Hitachi in accordance with local or global standards and regulations.

Your Profile
- Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineer or related professional
- Desirable experience of more than 6 years in electrical or mechanical design of Distribution and/or Power transformers.
