Design Engineer

The Opportunity

Hitachi Energy is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join our team in Sevlievo, Bulgaria. This team seeks a skilled and motivated individual.

Working in the engineering team provides a chance to get a broad knowledge of our unit and products. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment. You must be flexible to accommodate business requirements and experience in working with diverse groups and cultures. The ability to multitask & deliver within timelines is essential.

How you'll make an impact:

• Create, change, and analyze the construction of mechanical details;
• Designs engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to specification. Contributes to design reviews and design verification, modifies design as necessary;
• Develops, selects, and applies standard techniques, procedures, and tools in the performance of engineering tasks;
• Collaborates with the supply chain function, reviews vendor documentation, provides design related evaluation of proposals for standard materials and equipment;
• Follow for on quality and on time project execution;
• Assists in communication with customer pertaining to specific project design assignments or meetings;
• Work closely with all functions and reports inefficient process and tools by providing ideas for improvement.

• A bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering;
• Knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools;
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required;
• Good capability on Microsoft office software package;
• Knowledge of design software 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (preferred SolidWorks) is required;
• Proactive, result-oriented person with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
• Communicative and self-driven personality, open for changes.
