The opportunity:

We are seeking a proactive and structured Technical Data Protection & Access Governance Specialist to manage access governance and document protection across Engineering, R&D, and TrafoSchool. This role will ensure that sensitive content is properly classified, protected, and accessible only to authorized users, while maintaining auditability and compliance with internal standards.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Define and maintain access rules across xECM, HEP, OneView, LMS, and other platforms. Approve or deny access requests; manage onboarding/offboarding of users and shared accounts.

  • Act as operational lead and project manager for the BU-wide document governance initiative. Coordinate inventory and mapping of document types, owners, systems, and access controls.
  • Define and publish platform usage principles (e.g., PLM for WIP, xECM for lifecycle, HEP for distribution). Lead pilot implementations, measure KPIs, and support transition to business-as-usual governance.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment, working cadence, and reporting to sponsors. Manage access flows for external suppliers under defined standards. Ensure supplier accounts are correctly provisioned and monitored.
  • Collaborate with SCM and Master Data to maintain secure external access. Design and execute audit processes to monitor document access and usage.
  • Track KPIs such as RMS coverage, permission reductions, and classification completeness. Report findings and drive continuous improvement in document governance.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background:

  • Experience with audit processes, access control models, and classification frameworks.
  • Familiarity with supplier access management and external collaboration protocols. Ability to translate technical risks into clear business actions.
  • Strong project leadership and stakeholder coordination skills. Detail-oriented with a structured approach to governance and documentation.
  • Comfortable working in matrixed, global environments. Committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
