The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Data Architect to lead the definition and execution of data governance and data architecture strategies that support our transition from an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) to a Configure-to-Order (CETO) delivery model.

This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring that data across product, project, and enterprise systems is structured, governed, and utilized to enable modularization, reusability, and scalability of HVDC solutions. You will be a key driver in promoting organizational understanding of data as a strategic asset, fostering alignment across business, IT, and engineering domains.

How you'll make an impact

  • Design and maintain data models and architectures that enable integration across PLM, ERP, BIM, and other enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate closely with PLM architects, product managers, and IT teams to ensure alignment between data architecture and PLM strategy.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and data literacy initiatives to elevate organizational understanding of data ownership, lineage, and governance.
  • Support the transition from ETO to CETO by establishing data foundations for modularity, configurability, and reuse.
  • Identify and mitigate data quality risks through proactive governance and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Define KPIs and metrics to monitor data integrity, governance maturity, and business impact.
  • Contribute to the development of enterprise-wide data catalogues, taxonomies, and master data management principles

Your background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data management, or enterprise data governance roles within complex industrial or engineering environments.
  • Proven experience in establishing data governance frameworks supporting large-scale digital or transformation programs.
  • Basic understanding of PLM principles and willingness to deepen expertise in the PLM domain.
  • Experience with data integration, metadata management, and master data modeling across platforms such as PLM, ERP, and BIM.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.
  • Analytical and structured thinker with skills in data modeling, lineage tracing, and process mapping.
  • Fluency in English both spoken and written. Swedish language proficiency is a plus.
