Core R&D Project Controller - Controlling Practice & Operations

The opportunity:
The R&D Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial and commercial performance of R&D projects. This role involves managing budgets, forecasts, reporting, and financial reporting to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
How you'll make an impact:
- Develop R&D strategies and monitor KPIs for quality, delivery, and cost.
- Analyze project progress and ensure timely completion.
- Own R&D budget and financial performance.
- Create and evaluate budget framework.
- Optimize cash flow; manage currency risk, tax, and financing.
- Handle project capitalization, license fee, hourly rate.
- Manage project creation and closure.
- Full financial ownership for MACH.
- Prepare Business Financial Execution Plan aligned with objectives.
- Promote commercial awareness and provide input to execution plans.
- Monitor claims, back-charges, and conduct project reviews.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation actions.
- Work closely with product management, engineering, and operations.
- Ensure time writing and approval follow-up.
- Support R&D management on budget issues and directives.
- Supervise project accountants, cost engineers, and administrators.
- Implement internal controls to prevent mistakes.
- Ensure governance, compliance, assurance, and internal control.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:
- Should have Post Graduate Degree or MBA (Finance), CA, ICWA.
- Must have 8-10 Years of Experience in a R&D controlling or Project controlling within the construction, manufacturing or engineering industry (Mainly in Projects).
- Proven experience as an R&D project controller
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, FICO, SD-PS, MS Office, Very strong excel skills.
- Automation and process improvement mindset
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
