Core Project Closure Specialist - CPC - CP&O

Key Responsibilities
1. Project Closeout Management

  • Initiate project closeout activities at approximately 95% physical or POC progress to ensure effective and timely closure.
  • Manage the finalization of outstanding project tasks.
  • Issue closeout status reports and ensure project closure in SAP.
  • Take full ownership of the project during its end stage.
  • Prepare and issue the Final Margin Report to management.

2. Financial Closure

  • Verify closure of all financial points, including bonds, claims, costs, and invoices.
  • Perform financial close, confirming cash inflow/outflow and ensure recovery of bonds.
  • Manage Forex and hedging activities.

3. Documentation and Archiving

  • Prepare and initiate documentation archiving, ensuring final versions are stored in the archive repository.
  • Ensure compliance with document control processes and maintain efficient administration of all project-related documentation.

4. Project Execution (End Stage)

  • Take handover from the execution project controller and manage financial aspects such as forecasting, project reviews, bonds, forex, cost tracking, and cost-to-complete analysis.

5. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the key point of contact for the customer during project closeout, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
  • Lead closeout meetings with customers and internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Controller.
  • Desirable experience in Project Accounting.
  • Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, FICO, SD-PS, and MS Office (advanced Excel skills).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Postgraduate degree (MBA Finance, CA, ICWA preferred).
  • Familiarity with project management and financial software.
  • 8-10 years of experience in a similar role or project accounting within construction, manufacturing, or engineering projects.

  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and multitasking ability.
  • Ability to interpret contract and financial conditions.
