Control & Protection Hardware Design -HVDC SERVICE
The opportunity:
As an Associate project engineer, you will join an aspiring team that works with the HVDC Power transmission links. It is a diverse and independent job, within our project groups, with lots of responsibility and you will have great opportunities to develop your skills within HVDC. Our department is responsible for the C&P hardware design of HVDC system. This includes design, documentation, testing, supervising the installation and commissioning of the control and protection systems. Supporting and supervising on-site installation and commissioning around the world is an important part of our business offering.
How you'll make an impact:
- You will implement Control and Protection- Hardware solutions for High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) plants within a team of engineers.
- You will prepare Design Specifications, Overview Diagrams and Concept Clarifications in close cooperation with the concept coordinators.
- You will be participating in or leading design review meetings to detect design errors, process and tool inefficiencies, and putting in place corrective and improvement actions.
- Cubicle design, integration of all HW components into the cubicles.
- You will be creating Bill of material and terminal diagrams for Control & Protection equipment.
- You will coordinate with cubicles manufacturer and perform Cubicle inspection as necessary.
- You will prepare Cable list and Cable termination schedule. You will be providing necessary support during Functional Performance tests and Site Commissioning.
- You will ensure that engineering deliverables meet the project schedule dates in line with customer.
- You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
- You hold a diploma/ B.E./ B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Should have 2 to 6 years of experience in Power Generation EBoP, Substation Engineering of HV/EHV substation project in areas as per job description.
- Should have software tool knowledge i.e. Windows and MS office, AutoCAD, Electrical Engineering Base/ELCAD, Hidraw.
- High ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural team.
- Open minded and creative in cooperation with colleagues and customers.
- High commitment and willingness to perform.
- Must be quick learner and flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
