Proposal Engineer - Transformer Services
The opportunity
Join our Services team and play a key role in bringing complex technical solutions to life. You will prepare high-quality proposals for our local market, working closely with sales, engineering, and global factory teams. This role offers a unique mix of technical depth and commercial strategy. You will develop expertise in transformer monitoring solutions and digital integration. How you'll make an impact
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for local clients, covering all project aspects.
- Support the sales team during bid clarification and negotiation processes.
- Track proposal status and follow up with sales teams and clients consistently.
- Review client specifications and define the right technical solution for each bid.
- Identify risks in offers, estimates, and quotations and participate in risk reviews.
- Coordinate pricing strategies with the Services Sales Manager.
- Communicate with factories and third-party partners for technical and commercial clarifications.
- Prepare basic engineering documents, data sheets, and functional descriptions for bids.
- Define technical configurations and system architecture for transformer monitoring solutions.
- Support digital integration with APM platforms, SCADA, and industrial protocols.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
Your background
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in technical proposal preparation or sales engineering roles.
- Knowledge of power transformers and associated monitoring systems (DGA, OLTC, bushings).
- Familiarity with digital integration protocols such as IEC 61850 or Modbus TCP/IP.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in technical documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate across cross-functional teams.
- Good communication skills in Spanish; English proficiency is a plus.
