Civil Design Lead

The opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Design Lead to oversee and guide civil engineering design activities for various energy infrastructure projects. This role involves leading a team of civil designers, ensuring technical excellence, project delivery within scope and budget, and adherence to all relevant standards and regulations.

How you'll make an impact:
Lead and manage a team of civil design engineers and CAD technicians, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
Oversee the conceptual design, detailed design, and engineering calculations for civil works related to substations, power plants, transmission lines, and other energy infrastructure projects.
Develop and review civil engineering drawings, specifications, reports, and other project documentation.
Ensure all designs comply with national and international codes, standards (e.g., IS, ACI, ASCE), and company policies.
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including electrical, mechanical, structural, and environmental engineers.
Participate in project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and resource allocation.
Conduct technical reviews and quality control checks of design deliverables.
Identify and mitigate potential design risks and challenges.
Present design solutions and project updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Your Background:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role, preferably within the energy sector.
Proven expertise in the design of foundations, earthworks, drainage systems, roads, and other civil infrastructure for industrial or power projects.
Strong understanding of relevant engineering software, including AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and structural analysis tools (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000).
Thorough knowledge of Indian and international civil engineering codes and standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
