BU Grid Integration Digital PMO Leader (f/m/d)

The opportunity

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and drive the delivery of our digital ambition at scale. As BU Grid Integration Digital PMO Leader, you will sit at the heart of the digital transformation agenda, translating strategy into disciplined execution across a complex and high-impact project portfolio. You will provide clear leadership, robust governance, and proactive risk management to ensure digital initiatives are delivered with quality, pace, and measurable business value. Working in close partnership with Strategy & Product Management and senior stakeholders across the BU, you will enable strong cross-functional collaboration, ensure alignment with Hitachi's broader digital transformation objectives, and create the conditions for sustainable, high-performance delivery.

How you'll make an impact

• Translate BU and GPG digital strategies into a clear, executable digital transformation roadmap and deployment plan
• Lead end-to-end delivery of the BU digital project portfolio, from planning and prioritization through execution, monitoring, and closure
• Ensure digital initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with expected value, quality, and ROI
• Act as the central orchestration point across BU/GPG leadership, functions, IT/BST, Data, Cybersecurity, and Digital Core teams
• Drive cross-functional resource planning, demand alignment, and dependency management across digital initiatives
• Establish and operate a robust Digital PMO governance framework, including decision-making, reporting, and risk management
• Monitor portfolio performance through KPIs, dashboards, and structured reporting, ensuring transparency and effective escalation
• Continuously improve digital delivery maturity by evolving PMO standards, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), and best practices

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive project management experience, including 5+ years leading digital project portfolios in large, complex organizations
• Proven ability to lead through influence in a global, matrixed environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills across all organizational levels
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex digital initiatives (e.g., cloud, AI/ML, IoT, enterprise platforms, data analytics)
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable delivery plans
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making capabilities
• Solid knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid); PMP, PgMP, SAFe, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification is a strong advantage
