Associate Project Engineer IMP

You will be a key member of the IMP (Integrated Multifunctional Products) engineering team in Lodi. Your skills and technical expertise will contribute to a variety of design projects. As Project Engineer for IMP, you will support the business in all electrical systems aspects especially in the execution of the Integrated GIS Applications (IGA), Multifunctional Modules (MFM) and other innovative prefabricated products.

You will be responsible for the successful delivery for multiple projects on time, within budget, and in line with contractual specifications and relevant quality and safety guidelines.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Creating and executing mechanical and electrical designs engineering solutions, including the preparation of drawings, calculations, bill of materials, engineering instructions and processes.
  • Applying state-of-the-art design methods, tools and engineering practices to design development.
  • Providing the cost-effective execution of projects deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
  • Completing risk and opportunity assessments and reporting any contract, quality, program or cost issues for resolution.
  • Communicating engineering designs and processes to internal and external stakeholders and actively contributing in design reviews and customer project meetings.
  • Collaborating with Supply Chain for input on vendor documentation, bids and evaluation of proposals, materials and equipment.
  • Working closely with Product Engineers, Project Managers and Operations staff to deliver designs in a timely manner with high quality deliverables that meet customer expectations.
  • Maintaining a strong network of engineering professionals, sharing engineering best practice across different projects and disciplines to support the development of junior colleagues; Providing training and support to the other team members, including foreign colleagues.

Your background:

  • A High School diploma or Bachelor in Mechanical field.
  • At least 2-3 years' relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools; Knowledge of design software 2D (Autocad) and 3D (preferred CREO).
  • Good knowledge of Italian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and a collaborative approach; Proactive, result-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills as well as reliability and ability to work under pressure; Skilled communicator who can interface with numerous external and internal parties and stakeholders at all levels in a multi-cultural environment.
