Associate Project engineer
The opportunity
Design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. Based on technical specification from end customers and inputs from OU Engineering team, prepare Protection & Principle SLD, Schematics, Equipment layouts - Plan & sections, to support R & D actives, Bill of materials, RFQs, vetting of vendor offers, engg hours estimation, technical risk assessment and opportunity evaluation etc.
How you'll make an impact
- Design authority for all engineering activities for assignments on projects classified as Low and Medium engineering complexity. Support Project Manager for any technical issues.
- SPOC with customers for Engineering activities of the project. Participate in customer meetings, act on customer needs, expectations and improve customer experience.
- To coordinate engineering project team: scope, schedule & progress, approvals, budget, targets, resource load & cost-to-complete [Engineering Meetings / Review]. Ensure Engineering processes are applied and if needed agree on scaling with the Engineering Manager.
- Conduct Engineering Project Reviews and report progress and cost-to-complete to Engineering and Project Manager.
- Establish contacts with suppliers for the project and provide technical support as required. Ensure the deliveries as per schedule and carry out regular reviews.
- Having Primary design expertise and being able to deliver Fleet and Flash sector projects. Focus on continuous improvements both technically and functionally.
- Check if the quality process is applied by all contributing engineering parties and escalate to QA/QC.
- Track and handle technical issues and follow up. Handle clarification where more than one domain/function/party is concerned plus those topics that cannot be allocated to an engineering domain. Initiate mitigation of possible responsibility gaps in the project team.
- Identify, track, clarify & drive projects change cases that relate to engineering scope. Initiate and drive corrective actions.
- Collect and consolidate project risks and opportunities from the engineering team, technical, but also related to engineering progress, information/data availability and assumptions taken.
- Define, coordinate & take proactive actions to mitigate risks and lead to opportunities. Take calculated risk in pursuit of results and speed.
- Prepare, review and validate Bill of material for tenders or projects based on requirement. Providing Optimized and Customized solutions for various eMobility tenders (Indoor/Outdoor etc.,)
- Use creativity wherever appropriate to provide best solutions for the given situation within the framework of tender. Continuously develop standard templates and databases for tender engineering.
- Vendor Offer Evaluations. FAT / SAT of Primary Equipment, System as and when needed. Technical risk and opportunity assessment and validation.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in with 2 - 3 years' experience.
- Knowledge of Fleet and Flash system design and BoM.
- Knowledge of primary equipment, such as Rectifier, convertors, dispensers, charging plugs, circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, instrument transformers, power/rectifier transformers, etc.
- eMobility engineering understanding and experience preferred. Understanding of interfaces to MV/HV grid and cable systems.
- Proficiency in required CAD design tools (Autodesk Revit, 3D competence preferred, BIM). Knowledge of Engineering calculation tools.
- Knowledge of relevant international standards ex. IEEE, IEC etc. Knowledge in eMobility tendering and project engineering activities (technical & commercial).
- Individual contributor using in-depth knowledge in a specific area to execute complex or specialized projects / challenges often thinking independently to challenge traditional solutions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines in the organization. Works independently, applying established standards.
- Dynamic and Proactive, willing to grow in the organization. Team player, ready to play the role of different countries.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
