Application Specialist Engineering Base

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy's Applications, Tools and Life Cycle Management (LCM) department is looking for the next Application Specialist in the electrical application space. As an Application Specialist at Hitachi Energy, you will be included in a diverse team and collaboration with multiple Application Specialists from different fields. Communication is key as you will also be working closely with our application support and administration team and participating in Steering Committee Meetings. We are looking for a driven employee who is eager to learn and develop as an Application Specialist and a team player.

This role is based in Ludvika or Västerås, Sweden.

How you'll make an impact

• Participate in software and hardware upgrades.
• Participate in application development projects.
• Application requirement specification and management.
• Application administration, installation-management, and configuration according to Hitachi Energy and industry standards.
• Planning and driving meetings with:
  • Application stakeholders
  • Steering Committee.
  • Other inter-departmental meetings.
• End user support, problem solving and training.
• Maintaining application and process related documentation.
• Following and improving our way of working.

• An education and interest in the IT or engineering space.
• You are a driven and motivated individual with a creative mindset, great interpersonal skills and willingness to learn.
• You share enhancements and improvement ideas and evaluate others' ideas as if they were your own.
• Working in teams and collaborating within them is your preferred way of working.
• You have previously worked with or studied with Engineering related Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software.
• If you have been involved in after school or work activities such as clubs, societies or projects, it will be considered meritorious.
