Sr Engineer (Golang)

What's the role?

We are looking for experienced engineers with deep expertise in building back-end systems who can work independently in complex situations as well as lead others to solve challenging problems and find innovative solutions.

• Develop and evaluate new algorithms to enhance places with more richer and accurate attributes.
• Implement tools to enhance automated place processing systems, involving backend/service-based software stacks, but also dashboard components for data tracking and analysis.
• Own and drive technical excellence and in-depth solutions in an innovative and fast-paced environment
• Work with other engineering teams and internal customers to identify new opportunities, address critical needs, and solve complex problems using your backend development expertise
• Drive initiatives that contribute to the development of software that is efficient, reusable, and reliable (e.g. agile, coding, verification)
• Be part of an agile team, share knowledge, carry out code reviews

Who are you?

To be successful in this role, you'll have much of the following:

• Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar technical degree
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience with Strong competence in GoLang or Python
• Expertise in problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Proven track record of having designed and deployed large-scale & low latency cloud-based systems
• Ability to communicate complex solutions with technical and non-technical colleagues
• Extensive knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Hands-on experience deploying software using container orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes
• Willingness to actively engage in day-to-day DevOps tasks and occasional on-call support for the service
• Familiarity and hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Gitlab, Jenkins, GitHub, Gerrit, etc.
• Passion for cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, etc.
• Experience with Web Development (HTML5/JavaScript/CSS/React etc.) will be an added advantage
