Sr Accountant

What's the role?

 

General Ledger Accounting:

 

This role is responsible for multiple accounting tasks that comprise:

 

Journal entries: Record daily, weekly and monthly journal entries across different entities.
Payroll: Oversees and support payroll activities to ensure correct payments and internal control processes are followed. Work with internal and external stakeholders for social security compliance.
Taxes: Prepares, reviews workpapers for external fiscal consultants for tax compliance.
Financial Reporting: Prepares financial reports and their support schedules.
Statutory Audit: Conducts the process with external and internal auditors.

 

This position requires a college level degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 5 years of professional experience, preferably in a global company. The following skills and knowledge are also desired:

 

Experience with accounting software programs, ERPs (such as PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.)
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Good communication skills, proactiveness, independence and team spirit drive.
Verbal and written English Fluency

IMPORTANT:

This role reports is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and follows a hybrid working arrangement of three days on-site in our Sao Paulo office and two days remote (work from home). No exceptions will be made to this working arrangement.
