Engineering Manager
What's the role?
This role is ideal for someone with excellent leadership and communication skills, who also brings recent hands-on experience in software development. While prior engineering management experience is a plus, it is not a strict requirement.
- Lead and support a team of engineers, including both internal staff and external collaborators (outsourcing vendor).
- Drive technical excellence and ensure delivery of scalable, high-performance server components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product and infrastructure groups.
- Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to codebase as needed.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and represent the team in technical forums.
Who are you?
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Recent hands-on experience in software development (e.g. C++, Python, JavaScript).
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and server-side architecture.
- Experience working in agile development environments.
- Exposure to AI/ML technologies and their integration into production systems.
- Prior experience in engineering management or technical leadership.
- Familiarity with Model Context Protocol or Agentic AI concepts.
