SA Stock Controller

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To be conversant with the Warehouse layout, thus be able to locate stock items by row, shelf, and bin location

• To prepare daily cycle counts as per Henry Schein Policy - ABC Class counting method and report daily to management on variances and adjustment journals to be posted.

• Complete detailed investigations into variances and ensure all evidence relating to investigations is filed

• Submit a detailed cycle count report to management on WTD/MTD variances by midday

• Ensure the HOT PRODUCT list is counted, verified and the variances investigated and reported on

• Ensure the cycle counters and verification team are updating the count sheets correctly

• Work with Inventory team to verify and re-check high variances

• Do random checks during cycle counts with counters to ensure counts are being done correctly

• Prepare expired stock report and share with business by first week of every month

• Action expired stock items from NAV/BC only on the day of expiry or following business day

• Daily counts of Anesthetic products - Provide daily report to management for sign-off.

• Prepare monthly expiry and short-dated stock reports.

• Prepare count sheets for yearly Equipment counts (November)

• To perform annual year end stock counts - Plan and execute as per requirements set by management.

• Proper record keeping of the counts for auditing purposes.

• Maintain proper record keeping of Journals and Filing.

• Weekly report on all stock locations - Item, Quantity, Description, Lot/Serial No., Expiration Date, Total Value, and Reasons etc.

• All functions are to conform with the relevant Standard Operating Procedures and SAHPRA Standards.

• Due to Operational requirements of the Organization, you may be required to work outside of your normal working hours. This would be at the discretion of your Line Manager.

• You will be required to be cross functional and stand in as a back-up for the other stock controller.

• You are required to transfer skills to other team members and or subordinates to ensure flexibility.
