Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Endocrinologist to join our dynamic team and health network. This position offers an exciting blend of in-depth patient care, opportunities for scholarly work, and involvement in medical education. The role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while contributing to the growth and development of our endocrinology services. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of professional activities, including direct patient care, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives.
Highlights:
- Provide continuous and comprehensive clinical care for patients with diabetes and other endocrine disorders.
- Facilitate transition services for pediatric and adolescent diabetes patients at the MOLLY Center for Children with Diabetes and Endocrine Disorders.
- Support the preoperative consultative service for diabetic patients.
- Assist the Director of the Diabetes Program with inpatient diabetes consultations for medical and surgical patients who do not have an endocrinologist.
- Participate in the equitable 24/7/365 on-call schedule, including weeknights, weekends, holidays, and vacation coverage, in collaboration with practice physicians.
- Provide seven (7) 24-hour periods of unrestricted hospital call coverage every eight (8) weeks for Emergency Department and inpatient endocrinology consultations.
- Assume a teaching role for medical students, residents, and endocrinology fellows.
- Assist in developing patient care protocols and clinical outcomes to enhance cost-effective, high-quality care
Requirements:
- MD, DO Degree from a recognized medical school;
- Completion of a fellowship in endocrinology in a recognized institution;
- Experience in endocrinology/diabetes and/or an affiliation with an academic institution
- Ability to relate effectively to all levels of the clinical and administrative structure of the medical center as well as of other institutions affiliated with the Division of Endocrinology
- Board Certified Internal Medicine & Endocrinology
- Ability to obtain and/or possess a New Jersey Medical License

COMPENSATION:
Minimum Starting Base Salary: $208,203

Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in relevant skills and competencies.
Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the specialty and/or sub-specialty.
Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
