Summer 2026 Special Markets Internship

Program dates : June 1st, 2026 - End date: August 6th, 2026
Location: NYC Hybrid (up to three days)
Company laptop will be provided for the duration of the program.
Weekly schedule : 28 hours per week, 9:00am-5:00pm, with a one-hour lunch break.
Pay rate : $17.00/hour
As an HBG special markets intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with seasoned professionals and gain hands-on professional experience as you own day-to-day tasks, help with special projects, and attend departmental meetings.
To enhance your work experience, we offer educational sessions featuring speakers from all departments of the company as well as networking and career development opportunities.
Who You Are:
- Self-motivated, hands-on, enthusiastic individual that delivers work accurately and on time
- Using strong written and verbal communication skills you will interact with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills will be necessary to multi-task and prioritize work
- Ability to work independently as well as in collaborative and team environments
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are needed (i.e. pivot tables and lookups) and proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Familiarity with social media outlets and content creation a plus
- Strong interest in book publishing
Responsibilities will include:
- Research sales leads and existing mailing lists to develop current targeted outreach lists
- Creating sell sheets and assisting with catalog creation
- General administrative support, including data entry and uploading data, running reports, mailings, etc.
- Support with order processing.
