Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Capital Allocation & Investment Planning - Optimize resource distribution to maximize returns and support growth.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation - Identify financial risks across different markets and implement strategies to minimize exposure.
  • Scenario Planning & Forecasting - Model financial outcomes based on economic trends and business conditions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration - Work closely with GMs, local leadership team and local finance members to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Resource Allocation - Distribute budgets efficiently across departments.
  • Expense Control & Optimization - Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Budget Approval & Monitoring - Oversee budget proposals and track adherence throughout the fiscal year.
  • Variance Analysis - Compare actual spending against budgeted figures to identify discrepancies.
  • Revenue & Expense Projections - Predict future financial performance based on historical data and market trends.
  • Scenario Planning - Model different financial outcomes to prepare for uncertainties.
  • Rolling Forecast Updates - Continuously refine forecasts to reflect real-time business conditions.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting - Ensure liquidity planning aligns with operational needs.
  • Working Capital Optimization - Improve accounts receivable/payable cycles to enhance cash availability
  • Expense Control & Cost Efficiency - Identify areas to reduce unnecessary spending while maintaining operations.
  • Talent & Leadership Development - Build a strong finance team to support business expansion.
  • Review contracts (vendor and commercial), leases, loan agreements, or regulatory filings to assess financial implications, ensure alignment with fiscal policies, and avoid exposure to financial or legal risks.
  • Monthly Closing Reporting. -Get Trial Balance from Controllership, FP&A and Supply Chain Finance to present the GM, Regional HoF and Regional President.

Lead the monthly financial reporting process including:

  • Month end process including closing the books, preparing the financial statements, and reporting the results. Work with department leaders to understand major variances in revenue and spend. Look for opportunities to improve future month profitability. Insure proper management and reconciliation of all account balances.
  • Forecasting of 12 month rolling financial statements including profit and loss statement and balance sheet. Provide monthly sales revenue and volume projection along with estimate contribution margin.
  • Work with working capital leaders to ensure working capital accounts stay at or below budgeted amounts.

Lead the annual budgeting process to ensure that accuracy, completeness, and accountability has been achieved throughout Greater China organization through the following activities:

  • Outline process, coordinate schedules, and oversee execution.
  • Work with functional leaders to ensure accurate revenue budgets and expense budgets.
  • Oversee raw material budget and make certain it is correctly reported.
  • Work with working capital leaders to budget fluctuations in Accounts Receivable, Inventory, and Accounts Payable.
  • Properly report and review the budget with Greater China MD, APAC VP of Finance, China Leadership team, and APAC leadership team
  • Ensure budget is properly loaded into BPC as required by corporate.

Develops profitable pricing strategies and business proposals in alignment with company Purpose and strategy through collaboration with senior leadership, sales, purchasing, product development, supply chain, and other cross-functional teams

  • Lead NPD decision gate process to improve NPD productivity, and to optimize commercial team resource utilization.
  • Develop strategic and tactical pricing strategy and initiatives to maximize revenue.
  • Develops, manages, and assists in negotiating customer contracts and incentives; Directs and leads key accounts RFP (Request for Price) process
  • Lead commercial finance team to provide reporting and analysis to Purchase for material PPV management

Partner with Supply Chain to drive continuous efficiency improvement

  • Facilitate key special projects to drive improvement and savings to the organization. These projects are usually GPE projects but could also be cost avoidance projects.
  • Lead Supply Chain finance / site finance manager to monitor and track GPE performance, to ensure proper validation and recording of all GPE projects.
  • Work with manufacturing and engineering group to develop and prioritize Capex investment.
