The Senior Salesforce Developer will be part of the IO (International Operations) business team providing business application solutions to enhance dealers' experience while doing business with GM Financial. Day-to-day activities will involve developing on the Salesforce.com platform, creating VisualForce Pages/Apex Classes and providing technical documentation. Responsibilities also include researching and implementing new technology solutions, not necessarily limited to the Salesfore.com platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research various internal requests to determine appropriate course of action and follow through to resolution


  • Maintain thorough understanding of data and information resources and technical requirement documentation


  • Utilize technical aspects of Salesforce such as Apex triggers, classes, Flows and Scheduled jobs; as well as knowledge of Cases and Service cloud work processes.


  • Develop enhancements to Salesforce .com and related systems


  • Provide ongoing technical support of existing integrated Salesforce applications


  • Be able to deliver encryption configurations, user security profiles and permissions, monitoring and disaster recovery using Own to fulfil our Cyber requirements.


  • Be able to design data synchronization between Salesforce and other systems.


  • Deliver outbound and inbound API integrations


  • Keep up with and evangelize best practices for implementing Salesforce solutions and integrations with enterprise systems.


  • Conduct "Whiteboard" sessions to define roadmap of implementations with key business and IT owners, and lead meetings to derive key requirements and demonstrate potential solutions with SFDC


QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or management information experience; or over 7 years of Salesforce experience or equivalent work required


  • 5-7 years of Salesforce experience required


  • 1+ years of experience as a software engineer using an object-oriented language (like Java, C#, Typescript or Python) outside the salesforce platform preferred.


  • Prefer experience in automotive, financial services or other highly regulated industries


  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or Portuguese highly preferred


  • Messaging: Platform Events or RabbitMQ, Eventbus/Hub.


  • AI Capabilities: ChatGPT, GitHub Co-pilot, GenAI tech stacks, Einstein AI, Agent Force


  • Pipeline Automation: Azure DevOps (YAML, ARM), Terraform, Jenkins, Chef, Octopus Deploy


  • Source control: Git and gitflow branching


  • API: OpenAPI, Event Catalog, API Gateway, Apex Rest API


  • UI: Salesforce Lightning, Experience Cloud or Angular/React CSS, Node.js, ASP.NET MVC


  • Salesforce Technologies: Apex, Aura, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce integrations


  • Scripting and Programming: Java or C# .NET, JavaScript/Typescript, Python


  • Test Automation: Selenium, Postman, Cypress


  • Operating systems: Windows, Linux


  • Cloud Native: Azure, AWS, GCP
