Within defined guidelines and framework, the Sr Claims Business Analyst - General Motors Insurance will work on business planning, process and projects of varying size and complexity. This role is responsible for supporting opportunities for improvement that align with the strategic initiatives of General Motors Insurance. The Sr Claims Business Analyst will assist in the creation and documentation of claims processes that deliver desired results. This role will also participate in projects of varying size where they will define scope, drive business alignment, and document requirements.

- Assist in benefit analysis and defining ROI
- Define business objectives and goals
- Identify and document stakeholders and organization impacts
- Perform gap analysis to determine potential solutions
- Gather business needs
- Facilitate the gathering of requirements
- Provide input and direction to partners assisting with solution design
- Identify and manage existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role
- Create and edit claims workflows and processes
RESPONSIBILITIES
What makes you a dream candidate?
- Knowledge and understanding of the auto claims process preferred
- Professional business analyst experience, including; planning, eliciting, analyzing, validating, documenting and communicating requirements
- Experience working in an agile environment
- P&C industry experience a plus
- Experience working as an auto claims adjuster or appraiser a plus
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in related field required
- 4+ years professional business analysis experience required
- 2+ years working in an agile environment preferred
Licenses/Certifications
- IIBA certification preferred

The base salary for this role is $94,000 to $174,000.
At GM Financial, we strive for transparency and in all aspects of our business, including pay equity. This is the GM Financial pay range for this role and job level. The exact salary and compensation will vary based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience and education.
This role is eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive plan. Full time employees are eligible to participate in health benefits on day one of employment.
