As a Solution Architect III, you'll play a key role in shaping the next generation of GMF's technology ecosystem. In this hands-on, highly collaborative role, you'll partner with Project Managers, Technology Leaders, and Business Solution Architects to craft innovative, AI‑driven solutions that strengthen our security posture, modernize our infrastructure, and unlock advanced analytics across the enterprise.
You'll serve as a trusted expert across multiple technology domains-anticipating where projects will require cloud, AI/ML, infrastructure, or security involvement and ensuring the right teams are aligned at the right time. From contributing to solution design to defining technical requirements, you'll help translate business needs into scalable, future‑ready architectures.
This role offers the opportunity to dive deep into compliance, regulatory, and security frameworks while influencing how emerging technologies are adopted across the organization. Success will require a strong foundation in AI/ML, Generative AI, cloud architecture, and data platforms-paired with a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and excellent communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior key technical expert across multi‑disciplinary project teams, including AI/ML and cloud initiatives.
- Own roadmaps and strategies for assigned technology domains, with a focus on AI/ML and Generative AI adoption.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver needed technical artifacts.
- Design and deliver AI‑powered infrastructure solutions using Azure AI, Databricks, and GenAI frameworks.
- Develop technical strategies and act as SME for AI/ML, cloud, and data architecture throughout solution design and delivery.
- Document infrastructure and AI solution designs to GMF standards and lead them through formal review.
- Contribute to RFP/SOW development and support vendor evaluation for AI and cloud technologies.
- Shape short‑ and long‑term AI and cloud infrastructure strategies across the IT portfolio.
- Advise teams on GMF standards, security requirements, methodologies, and AI/data governance practices.
- Estimate architecture effort and review/approve AI and infrastructure designs for project teams.
- Communicate and validate solution architectures with leadership, executive stakeholders, and enterprise architects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in AI/ML solution architecture, cloud platforms, and data engineering required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
- Deep expertise in AI/ML and GenAI - including LLMs, diffusion models, deep learning, NLP, and AI‑driven automation.
- Strong technical foundation with Python/Java/C++, major AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face), and large‑scale AI solution design (data ingestion, processing, deployment).
- Cloud and platform proficiency, especially Azure AI, Azure ML, Databricks, and experience deploying AI models across Azure/AWS/GCP with solid knowledge of data engineering and MLOps practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving and collaboration skills, able to break down complex challenges, communicate effectively across teams, and stay current with emerging AI and cloud technologies.
