GEM’s IT System Integrations team leads all aspects of data automation with the objective of improving workflows throughout the entire firm. Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining an internal automation focused web application, integrating new and existing third-party software, and reducing the firms overall time spent on manual processes. • experience in C# or a related language
• basic understanding of relational databases
• experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

GEM’s Summer Software Developer will work with the lead developer to extend and maintain the internal web application. They will be part of software design discussions and code reviews, gaining experience in industry standard tools. This role stretches many disciplines of software development including front-end, back-end, IAAS, PAAS, database administration, and dev-ops, with the opportunity to gain experience in each. Due to the small team size and lifecycle of the project, we are looking for someone who is self-motivated and ready to start contributing early.
Key Responsibilities
The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Front-end and back-end development work
• Identifying and addressing software bugs
• Participation in a code review process
• Participation in the software design process, including documentation
• Work diligently in a fast-paced environment while advancing GEM’s collaborative culture
