An overview of this role
Join GitLab's dynamic Regional Marketing team where you'll craft integrated campaigns that showcase GitLab’s value through in-person and digital experiences. We're seeking an experienced, creative marketing professional to develop and execute field marketing strategies across India. In this role, you'll work closely with sales, partner marketing, and other cross functional teams to drive pipeline growth for our Sales teams. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on GitLab's market presence while working with a collaborative, cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Take full ownership of your India regional marketing initiatives, creating detailed and strategic program plans
- Continually experiment, test and iterate programs to define best practice and evolve program as the business grows
- Analyze and report on the impact and performance of regional marketing to a range of audiences, from local leadership to the executive level and tailor the insights accordingly
- Achieve high and consistent ROI from Marketing programs in India, through operational rigor, measurement, and budget and financial management
- Work cross-functionally to drive the execution of demand generation and field marketing plans, aligning with other areas of marketing
- Work in collaboration with external agencies and 3rd parties to prepare, manage and execute campaigns
- Be a key member and collaborator of the APJ Marketing team
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in the B2B tech industry with a focus on field marketing, working directly with sales teams
- Experience delivering on both third-party and owned events
- Data-driven, using data to measure results and inform decision making and strategy development
- Proven aptitude to build and drive a budget within the territory
- Ability to travel up to 25% and comply with the company’s travel policy.
- Able to coordinate across many teams and iterate and deliver in a fast-moving startup environment
- Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies across the entire Software Development Lifecycle, especially in large enterprise environments
- Excellent communication and writing skills, and the ability to distill down complex ideas in a variety of mediums (including content, decks, meetings)
- Proficient with marketing automation and CRM tools such as Marketo and Salesforce
- Proven experience being self-directed and working with minimal supervision
- Experience managing marketing budgets and allocating resources across tactics.
- High EQ and an excellent relationship builder, with the ability to secure resources and get buy-in from stakeholders

About the team
The Regional Marketing team is a collaborative, cross-functional partner to Sales and Marketing, focused on driving pipeline and revenue through integrated, high-impact programs tailored to the APJ market. You'll join a fully remote, globally distributed team that works asynchronously with account executives, marketing operations, product marketing, and external partners to design and execute regional campaigns and orchestrate in-person and digital experiences. We're currently focused on supporting key Enterprise and Commercial accounts through scalable regional programs, optimizing event and campaign performance through clear measurement and reporting, and helping sales and marketing leaders clearly understand and communicate the impact of regional marketing investments across APJ.
