Job Description Summary

The VP, Global Supply Chain Leader role directs all the activities related to Supply Chain Materials & Inventory planning. The leader partners closely with the MFG Work Stream Leaders and Shop Operations to ensure optimized wing-to-wing planning and execution. This position formulates and execute a strategy to optimize the complete value stream, focusing on improving product delivery, lead time and cost. The position is leading a team that focuses on material management fundamentals including: Forecasting, Scheduling, Materials Planning, Inventory Management, Sourcing, Financial Estimation and Configuration Control.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executes global inventory management strategy in alignment with the overall Supply Chain strategy.
  • Facilitate the Demand & Supply process of the Sales and Operating Planning rhythm for the Aero Alliance
  • Coordinate and partner with the sourcing and forecasting teams performing unconstrained demand analysis & decision points to determine investments and actions needed to support fulfillment for the Channels and ASPs.
  • Work cross-functionally to maximize the physical assets utilization and lead inventory optimization across the franchise. Develop global inventory strategy. Organize inventory execution plan that focuses on balance reductions and turns improvement. Partner with Lean Leader(s) to establish lean strategy and set focus areas of improvement
  • As a deep Lean leader, lead the organizational focus on lead time and cycle reduction in connection with PM on market needed cycle times
  • Work collaboratively with Strategic Sourcing, LCOE and Factories in determine Make/Buy
  • Provide strategic leadership for complex strategic supply chain initiatives
  • Drive accurate financial estimates and reporting of actual inventory levels including the creation of inventory improvement deck and execution of inventory roadmap.
  • Providing strategic leadership and Standard Work to the organization on End of Life (EOL) and Phase in - Phase out (PIPO) Projects.
  • Create standard clear tools to highlight estimated inventory balances of Transition projects Partner with different departments, such as: engineering, operations, OTR, etc. to minimize stranded Raw, WIP and FG inventories. Ensures adherence to the product transitions strategies, plans, and schedules.
  • Responsible for executing Strategic Sourcing strategies
  • Leads improved productivity and growth in the L5 repair network

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • At least 15+ additional years of materials, inventory, sourcing or manufacturing experience
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement and lean expertise
  • Working knowledge of modern ERPs and other material management tools

Desired Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong business and analytical ability
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing, materials and procurement processes within the Aeroderative industry
  • Familiarity with materials management disciplines including production and inventory control
  • Ability to manage changing/conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately
  • Ability to effectively operate in any organizational structure and drive outcomes in large, matrixed organizations - understands how to navigate geographies, cultures, and relationships. Can drive work around the world because they are accountable, trustworthy, credible, committed, & intellectually agile.
  • Excellent communications, influencing and collaboration skills required to manage a multitude of internal and external customers and partners
  • Passionate change leader with high energy and the ability to work effectively across a complex, global organization.
  • Strong team player who works to make the entire team successful, not bound by strict role description

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $222,000 and $333,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
