Transport Design Specialist

Job Description Summary

Transport Design Specialist will be responsible for managing export of Transformers to international markets. You must have strong knowledge of mechanical design, heavy weight logistics and be able to partner with various stakeholders, including vendors, carriers, and customs officials, to ensure compliance and timely delivery.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Subject Matter expert of Shipment BOM creation for High Voltage Transformers.
• Prepare and maintain necessary "Material List" from BOM and CAD models.
• Responsible for preparation of Crates in coordination with subcontractor company.
• Responsible for following missing materials @ site in coordination with Site supervisors (Process damaged goods and short/overage shipment claims from receipt to settlement)
• Liaise with suppliers, Project Managers, and internal departments to streamline operations.
• Track issues related with Non-Quality and Cost Models, conduct analysis in order to reduce costs.

Required Qualifications:

• University Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Min 1 year hands-on experience in Logistics area in Power Transformer or relevant industries
• Ability to use Autodesk and Solid works programs.
• Ability to use SAP systems.
• Ability to create Excel macros efficiently.
• Familiarity with customs documentation and procedures
