We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer (all genders) - Wind Turbine Operations who wants to go beyond traditional technical support, take ownership of complex challenges and actively contribute to improving our wind turbine fleet.

From diagnosing faults to implementing long-term improvements, no two days are the same - and your expertise makes all the difference.

Your Mission

You will ensure our wind turbines operate safely and reliably while driving technical improvements.

Working closely with our field teams, Design Engineers and customers, you will investigate technical issues, deep dive into the root causes and turn operational experience into practical solutions.

Your focus will be on the wind turbine as a complete system, considering electrical, mechanical and control-related components.

You will take ownership and drive it to success, influence corrective strategies and contribute directly to the approvement of our turbines. Your voice counts!

Location & Work Setup

Primarily based in Hamburg, the role combines office-based engineering skills with close collaboration with our field teams and practical insights from the turbine operations.

International travel and potential offshore interventions bring you closer to the reality and validate the success of your hard work.

Your Responsibilities

• Investigate complex technical issues across electrical, mechanical and control systems.
• Coordinate troubleshooting between field teams, engineering and customers.
• Lead root-cause investigations and drive corrective actions to completion.
• Improve preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance turbine reliability, performance and maintainability.
• Translate field experience into technical recommendations with long-term improvements in mind
• Develop Work Instructions, Troubleshooting Guides and technical documentation.
• Coordinate spare parts and tooling requirements.
• Support Lean initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Promote safe working practices, including LV/HV procedures and Wind Turbine Safety Rules.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable technical qualification with a strong electrical background.
• Experience in technical support, troubleshooting or maintenance of complex equipment, ideally in the wind industry.
• Interest in understanding wind turbines as complete systems, including the interplay of the electrical and mechanical aspects.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mentality and a proactive approach.
• Ability to work effectively with international, cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills and structured working style.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work offshore when required.
• Offshore wind maintenance experience and GWO certifications are an advantage.
