The Power Transmission business line in Oberentfelden focuses on delivering innovative products and solutions aimed at efficiently transferring electrical energy across various distances and applications. This business line typically offers a range of products, such as transformers, switchgear, power cables, and related technologies that are essential for maintaining the integrity and reliability of electrical grids.

Our site in Oberentfelden is a center of excellence for the development, production, and service of metal-encapsulated, gas-insulated high-voltage switchgear, their components & drives.

Your Mission: The Technical Project Manager GIS (m/f/d) is responsible to define the project execution strategy to deliver GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) projects on time, at customer satisfaction and at budget, applying Operations processes, EHS and quality systems, operating models and tools.

The perfect candidate would have a blended skillset of commercial knowledge and Technical PM activitites.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Customer interface: Interface to customers and to Solution units and Regions. Customer link and point of contact for all departments in the factory.
  • Project Planning: Follow-up of project milestones; handover, design freeze, engineering, procurement, assembly, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), site works, PAC (Preliminary Acceptance Test), Customer inputs to factory planning, Sales & Operations.
  • Risk and Opportunities: identification of project R&Os, definition of action plan and project execution strategy
  • Project Financials: Sales pacing, project review, margin deviation monitoring and approval, project cash
  • Project Commercial topics: claims, VOs (Variation Orders), LDs (Liquidated Damages - penalties) negotiations, bonds, warranty.
  • Engineering of Solution: Analysis of contractual documents, coordinate design clarification and launch of project specific design, calculations, tests. Definition of spare parts and tools lists.
  • Follow-up of procurement/production/delivery: Follow-up of procurement/production, communication with customer. Lead customer FATs. Shipping coordination with customer.
  • Site installation: Site preparation with customer, interaction on site conditions, erection interfaces, erection tools, manpower, working hours. Project specific Method Statement, Risk Assessment. Follow-up of site progress, communication with customer, site NCRs (Non-conformance Reports).
  • Project closing: Handover with customer, closing of snags, last payments, bond recollection, handle of warranty issues, perform return on experience, closing of project and transfer to service.

Key Requirements:

  • University Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on relevant experience within our products or similar industry (GIS or Power background preferred)
  • Strong experience in project management in a production environment as well as deep understanding for commercial issues
  • Solid cross-functional collaboration, structured communication style, proactivity, outgoing personality
  • Fluent in German & English is a key requirement. Another European language will be highly appreciated.
