Should Process is a physics-based analysis to simulate Manufacturing of a part/component/assembly in a digital environment & take meaningful insights for process, cost & supply chain optimization. Availability of Should process insights helps sourcing make right negotiations with suppliers; factory shops reduce cycle times & thus increase through put, design engineers make cost/ process conscious trade-offs.
The Should Process Specialist will be leading strategy & operations for F2F commodities including non glaobilized & Services, working closely with cross functional teams like Sourcing, Mfg & Engg teams to align P2V Should Process team efforts with biz priorities & contribute to cost out goal, impact vault (cost productivity pipeline), owning digital/AI adoption to drive speed & scale.
Job Description
Essential responsibilities
• Accountable for Should Process adoption & operations for F2F commodities including Non globalized & Services.
• Drive execution of Sourcing Should Process for above mentioned commodities - Partner closely with other F2F commodity Should Process SPOCs plan resources & timelines, track progress, manage risk, pivot (as required), identify potential opportunities from should process studies, partner with sourcing & suppliers to leverage should process insights for supplier process optimization & negotiations to track business outcomes.

• Facilitate brainstorming sessions within the F2F Shouldcost team to identify cost productivity pipeline from Should Cost efforts, formulate recommendations & partner with P2V teams & component owners to drive cost out projects on WAVE to deliver biz outcomes
• Bring AI-First mindset - Identify digitization/AI use cases for F2F Should Cost/Process space; build roadmap & implement by partnering with Digital teams.
• Should Process Program Operations - Manage Program KPIs/ TTIs for F2F Should Cost/Process, staying on top of metrics from time to time, develop & execute CAPA/ mitigation plans to meet program targets on time.
• Be proactive in addressing adoption challenges in stakeholder community.
• Build (enable) road maps for all strategic Should Process tools & projects, facilitate periodic strategic reviews translating strategy into long term goals & short term actions & outcomes.
• Partner with Should Cost digital team to identify waste in existing tools & processes, take up initiatives to drive productivity.
• Lead Should Process transformational programs working closely with cross functional teams for implementation, adoption & benefits realization.
• Work closely with Cost model development program team in providing insights on costing methods improvement & validation.
• Provide coaching & mentoring to the team on Mfg, Cost out processes & negotiation dynamics.
Qualifications / Requirements
• Bachelor's/Masters degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 15 years of experience in should cost
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Mfg domain, experience is supplier negotiations leveraging should cost along with experience in aPriori & excel based costing
• Demonstrated project leadership and awareness/exposure to LEAN methodologies to achieve program goals
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and influence customers and peers across cross functional global teams
• Demonstrated expertise in product cost out, should cost analysis, driving cost out ideas to closure to achieve biz benefits.
• Demonstrated understanding of the financial impact of technical solutions
Desired Characteristics
• Master's degree in Production engineering from an accredited university or college
• Trained in AI/ML/ Analytics courses from a reputed university. Demonstrated ability to apply advanced digital concepts in product cost out
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Significant experience with Sourcing & Mfg teams
• Ability to make formal presentations to all levels of the organization, customers and peers
