Job Description Summary
Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.
Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with system and subsystem leads to define and develop top level control system & software requirements, design and integrate secure network architectures for O&G/ Industry/ Marine projects.
- Ensure all projects are compliant to Cyber-security requirements.
- Be able to scope and participate in hardware and software vulnerability identification and vulnerability risk assessment
- Engage in application and domain-specific threat modeling and attack surface analysis/reduction
- Lead or assist in the investigation of security alerts and coordinate the response to contain and mitigate threats.
- Ensure documentation of technical data generated for the assigned product or project and/or tasks are in line with policies and procedures.
- Engage in Network Device Hardening/ OS Hardening/ Protocol Hardening and verifying hardening against IEC 62443-4-2
- Ensure all projects comply with industry standards and regulations, such as IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, ISO 27001, and relevant regional mandates (e.g., TSA Security Directives or NERC CIP where applicable).
- Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) from a cybersecurity perspective.
- O&G/ Industry/ Marine projects involve many vendors (EPCs, OEMs, service providers). You will audit and manage the secure "onboarding" of vendor equipment and remote support tools.
- Advise tendering and project team on cybersecurity budget requirements and technical road maps.
- Conduct security awareness training for field technicians and customers.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company and customer's EHS policies and procedures
- Identify and propose improvements in processes, tools, system solutions and technologies, rolling out improvements when agreed with leadership team.
- Foster relationship with other GE Vernova business entities to maximize the benefits of synergies.
- Liaise with Platform Engineering, Technology and Value Engineering, and Supply Chain as appropriate to support the project and the business.
- Liaise with other GE Vernova businesses, platform verticals, supply chain, sub-contractors and suppliers as appropriate to support the project and the business
- Drive lean mind set to provide optimum technical solutions for the projects.
- Comply with all company and customer health and safety regulations.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor /master's degree in computer science/ electrical/ electronic or relevant engineering from reputed College/University.
- 3 to 5+ Years of Experience in OT and cybersecurity.
- Experience in Cyber security for controllers and Systems in OT Space.
- Worked on Cyber security tools and solutions like Wireshark, NESSUS, Nmap etc.
- Worked on active directory, certificate management and hardening w.r.t CIS benchmarks for critical assets like switches, windows-based workstation and controllers.
- Familiar with ISA/IEC 62443 standards.
- Familiar with threat modeling and risk assessment for OT products
- Familiar with firewall, SIEM, NIDS, HIDS configuration and deployment.
- Certifications like CEH, CCNA will be an added advantage.
