Supplier Quality Engineering Manager - Material Ship Direct & Balance of Plant

As a Supplier Quality Engineering Manager for our Material Ship Direct (MSD) and Balance of Plant (BOP) commodity scope which supply to our project and service, you will be the technical authority at the intersection of supplier quality, engineering, and sourcing, driving regional strategies that ensure the reliability and compliance of GE Vernova's supply base across Asia Pacific.
This is a role for person who expert and realized on Supplier Quality and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)/Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE). Not just as a quality discipline, but also is the part of supply chain excellence. The expectation is to shape quality excellence embedded into supplier processes from qualification throughout delivery goods.

Job Description

What You'll Do

• Own NDT/NDE leadership for the regional Material Ship Direct & Balance of Plant Supplier Quality team develop, review, approve, and implement NDT/NDE procedures and techniques; build team capability by identifying skill gaps and provide coaching for Level I and II NDT personnel.
• Drive supplier qualification and quality inspection across the full product lifecycle from new supplier onboarding and audits through Qualification, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Pre-Shipment Inspections (PSI), surveillance audits, and final shipment release approvals.
• Lead systemic problem-solving at top-offender suppliers investigate nonconformities, execute Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Root Cause Investigation (RCI), manage Supplier Deviation Requests (SDR) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and implement effective corrective and preventive action (CAPA).
• Ensure standards compliance across your supplier base - assess suppliers' NDT systems against GE Vernova, ASME, AWS, ASTM, ISO, and ASNT requirements
• Prepare Quality Documentation, Quality Control Plans (QCP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP). Support suppliers in maintaining effective Process Failure Mode & Effects Analyses (PFMEA).
• Shape regional strategy in partnership with leadership - support the Regional MSD&BoP SQ Leader in developing and executing a proactive NDT audit program, establishing lessons learned frameworks, and harmonize standard work across regions and among commodities.
• Collaborate across functions - partner with Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering, and Project Quality to deliver supplier qualification outcomes aligned to business objectives; provide technical input to tender analysis and new supplier additions.

Who You Are

Supplier quality professional with deep NDT/NDE expertise and a track record of driving quality outcomes across complex, multi-region supply chains. Able to bring the technical rigor to set the standard and the communication skills to suppliers, inspectors, and stakeholders.

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials or Quality Engineering or equivalent professional experience in a relevant engineering discipline
• ASNT Level III or ISO 9712 Level III certification in applicable NDT methods, MT (Magnetic Testing), PT (Penetrant Testing), UT (Ultrasonic Testing), RT (Radiographic Testing), and VT (Visual Testing). Preferred 2 methods Level III as minimum
• Significant experience in NDT procedure development and approval, personnel qualification, supplier auditing, and technical evaluation
• Strong working knowledge of ASME (Section V, Section VIII Div. 1 & 2, B31.1), AWS D1.1, ASTM, and ISO standards
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of working time, predominantly within the APAC region
• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Preferred

• Experience working within complex, multi-site, global manufacturing organization;
• Background in supplier quality within Power, or heavy industrial manufacturing environments
• Proficient with FMEA, 8D, Problem Solving methodologies
