Job Description Summary
The Gas Power Configuration Management (CM) organization is responsible for transforming product requirements as well as engineering design intent into actionable product definition. This product definition includes logical bill of material (BOM) product structure and product features (Marketing/Configuration Features). We also manage project documentation needs, internally and externally and collect and organize the document configuration.
Through utilization of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) space, we are able to deliver on-time and quality product definition to supply chain functions globally. Gas Power end customers are also partners and consumers of CM output.
This position of Vendoc MSD Leader is a global role leading Heavy Duty New Units Material Shipped Direct MSD vendoc collection. The leader will be the accountable owner and be responsible for leading contracted resources (Vendoc COE) within the Gas Power Configuration Management organization in CMPD. This position will be responsible for leading and setting performance objectives while collaborating with stakeholders from across the Gas Power business as well as external stakeholders, e.g. Customers, EPC partners etc.

Vendoc management is a business-critical function on which depends several internal/external customers. This activity encompasses the entire value chain of collection through delivery to consumers from equipment suppliers of all types of documents- OMM, Quality, compliance, logistics.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Process Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to GE policies, engineering standards, and security requirements.
- Vendoc Lifecycle Management: Lead the end-to-end Vendoc process, including scope definition, collection, technical validation, and release within PLM systems.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a central point of contact for global teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure project deliverables meet expectations.
- Resource & Budget Oversight: Manage global headcounts and budgets to meet Order to Remittance (OTR) requirements for Heavy Duty New Units.
- Performance Governance: Establish and monitor KPIs, lead third-party contractor oversight, and manage contract fulfillment.
- System & Digital Integration: Collaborate with IT to optimize tool integration across PLM, ERP, and tracking systems to drive technological efficiency.
- Operational Excellence: Utilize Lean methodologies (Kaizen, Daily Management) to identify process improvements, reduce non-value-added efforts, and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Risk & Project Management: Lead cross-functional programs, develop risk mitigation plans, and ensure all schedule, budget, and quality requirements are met.
- Strategic Communication: Prepare and present technical data and status updates to leadership (EB+), providing actionable recommendations for scheduling and business strategy
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Computer Science.
- 3 years' experience in a technical leadership role within a Project Management domain.
- 8 years' experience in Engineering or project management or supply chain discipline
- For roles in Mexico Bachelor's degree

- Process Improvement: Strong Lean mindset with a track record of applying Lean tools to remove waste and optimize operational processes.
- Industry & Product Knowledge: Solid understanding power generation products, organizational structure, and internal processes.
- Communication & Presentation: Highly effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to leadership across various levels.
- Results-Oriented: A self-starting, high-energy professional with a documented history of delivering measurable results.
- Quality & Operational Standards: Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and the flexibility to support regional and international travel.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
