Strategic Sourcing Quality and Cost Manager - Aeroderivative Gas Turbines & Generators
Job Description Summary
The Strategic Sourcing Quality and Cost Manager is a cross-functional role responsible for driving operational transparency, quality control, and risk mitigation across our Aeroderivative and Generator sourcing portfolios.
This role partners closely with Sourcing Operations and Supply Chain teams to strengthen cost competitiveness, build supply chain resilience, and enforce process discipline.
We're seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in sourcing and quality management who can drive impactful actions to reduce portfolio risk exposure.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities (What you will do):
Risk Mitigation & Supply Chain Resilience
- Identify and mitigate sourcing-related supply, revenue, and supplier performance risks
- Support sole/single-source reduction and second-source development initiatives
- Provide financial insight into strategic sourcing, supply chain continuity, and FHR risk reduction
- Support recovery actions related to supplier quality and disruption issues
Quality & Cost Management
- Partner with Quality teams to reduce SDR/NCR occurrences and improve cost of quality (COPQ) performance, maintaining full accountability for outcomes
- Program manage key cost-out initiatives across the sourcing organization - establishing operating rhythms, ensuring on-time implementation, problem-solving, and escalating delays as needed
Governance & Standards
- Support internal controls, audits, and process compliance
- Set a high bar for operational standard work across Aero and Generator Value Stream teams
- Act in accordance with GE Vernova Gas Power sourcing policies
Execution & Reporting
- Lead execution of assigned generator OEM sourcing strategies
- Own daily operations and KPI reporting/analytics for assigned generator OEMs
- Align with Aero and Generator team SQDC priorities
- Support integration of Steam Power generator sourcing processes, tools, strategies, and KPIs
Required Qualifications (What you will bring):
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Experience: Significant professional experience in Sourcing, Quality, Cost Control, Project Management, or Business Operations
- Industry Background: Significant experience in manufacturing, aerospace, energy, or supply chain-driven environments
- Technical Tools: Working knowledge of ERP systems, Data Warehouse, and PowerSource; strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Core Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership capabilities; proven ability to operate effectively within a matrix organization
- Language: Fluent in English

- Certifications: Leadership program certification (e.g., OMLP, LTT) is a plus
- Background: Experience in Sourcing Operations & Transformation
