Staff Technical Product Manager - EDGE DT Operations, Strategy & CTO
Job Description Summary
The Staff Technical Product Manager - EDGE is part of the Digital Technology (DT) organization in GE Vernova. This DT role supports Operations, Corporate Strategy and business CTO functions within the Enterprise Development Growth & Excellence (EDGE) organization and reports to the EDGE Operations & Strategy IT Leader.
The person selected for the role will own the end-to-end Digital Technology landscape supporting the EDGE Operations, Corporate Strategy and business CTO organizations, from Digital Workspace End-User technologies to Enterprise DT applications.
Job Description
The role is responsible for effective wing-to-wing Product Management of Digital Technology lifecycle from: a) coordinating reliable existing technology day-to-day Support & Operations, ensuring Cybersecurity & SOX compliance, leading strong Change Management, effective Enhancement/continuous improvement, tracking Utilization & legacy technology decommissioning/Application Simplification; as well as
b) leading new technology (i.e. AI/ML & Gen AI) evaluation, approved case proof of concept design & testing, timely deployment planning, accelerated program / project management execution of Quality, LEAN, Supply Chain, Corporate Strategy, Market Analytics, Engineering programs driving consistent & strong technology adoption across the portfolio of DT solutions utilized by EDGE organization.
In addition, individual selected for this role must demonstrate consistent record of ability to partner effectively with functional leadership and business teams to clearly define requirements, collaborate and work effectively across GE Vernova DT HQ & BU technical teams to ensure strong delivery of outcomes on time, within scope and budget and of desired quality. Ensure that Agile project management and DevOps application support/operations practices are followed and improved as needed.
Essential Responsibilities
Key responsibilities could be:
- Responsible for overall Technical Product and Program/Project initiatives for EDGE Operations/Strategy organization landscape.
- Execute on the EDGE Operations/Strategy organization technology roadmap that ensures strong Strategic Fit, appropriate cost profile while delivering required business outcomes & performance objectives.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to all Cybersecurity, Compliance/SOX controls for relevant applications.
- Ensure Application Operations process adherence and handle/resolve escalations on a timely and efficient basis as required.
- Collaborate with business and functional partners and technology leadership in specifying requirements.
- Demonstrates excellent business acumen, knows latest industry trends and is looked at as an internal expert on the Technical Product as well as the associated competitive landscape.
- Drive technology discussion and support agreed strategy in line with business needs
- Define execution plan and approach based on project scope, expected timeline and available budget/resources.
- Ensures convergence of functional and technical knowledge.
- Collaborates closely and effectively with various functional and technical teams often comprising of members of separate organizations to coordinate day-to-day execution as per outlined plan
- Cooperate with and manage external vendors as required.
- Ensure pre-defined project management processes and practices are followed. Drive simplification and improvement as necessary
- Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Partner with technical and functional teams external to the project to ensure their tasks are completed as required.
- Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project.
- Manage stakeholder communication and progress status reporting.
- Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching stakeholder expectations.
- Track project outcomes realization and customer satisfaction levels through established metrics against service level. Ensure lessons learned are collected.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge with advanced experience
- Minimum 5 years experience working within an Enterprise Technology environment.
- Minimum 2 years experience and deep understanding of SOX technology audit practices.
