The FLEXIQ RMD team develops and maintains a remote monitoring and diagnostics platform that supports fleet performance, predictive analytics, and digital service optimization.
The team operates in an agile environment and collaborates closely with:
Fleet managers
Service engineering
UX design
Cybersecurity
Product management
Cloud and infrastructure teams

Job Description
We are seeking Staff Software Engineer to serve as the technical lead for FLEXIQ RMD, our remote monitoring and diagnostics platform. This role will act as the technical point of contact across architecture, backend, frontend, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality software delivery.
The successful candidate will drive application modernization, ensure performance optimization, and maintain world-class software standards in an agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for FLEXIQ RMD
- Define and evolve the application architecture roadmap
- Ensure alignment between backend, frontend, APIs, and infrastructure
- Guide design decisions for scalability, maintainability, and security
- Lead a team of software developers.
Architecture & Modernization
- Evaluate current application landscape and identify optimization opportunities
- Drive modernization initiatives including microservices and containerization
- Lead deployment strategies in Kubernetes environments
Backend Development
- Develop and maintain REST services
- Backend development in Python, Java, or Go
- API development using Python Flask framework
Frontend Development
- Work with web technologies such as TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS
- Experience with frameworks like Angular or React
- Collaborate with UX designers to implement UI components and meet user requirements
Cloud & DevOps
- Experience architecting solutions in AWS is a plus
- Manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
- Source control using GitHub
- Build tools such as npm
Performance & Quality
- Understand performance parameters and improve application performance
- Drive world-class quality in development and support
Compliance & Security
- Work with Cyber Security and Legal teams for compliance
Industrial Protocols (Plus)
- Edge computing fundamentals
- MQTT, Modbus, EGD protocol experience
Qualifications
- B.Tech / M.Tech / BE / ME / MCA in Computer Science or Information Technology
- 5 years of experience in leading development teams
- Experience in architecting scalable cloud-based solutions
- Strong backend and frontend development experience
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (Rally, JIRA, CI/CD)
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
